The room felt quite cramped with three guests, and it seemed a bit dated. Food in the restaurant was expensive. I paid £21 for a main meal. The pool area looked very unclean, so I left after only ten minutes.

the staff were attentive when i required assistance. i appreciated the cleanliness evident throughout the facilities. the breakfast buffet presented a good selection of items.
the shower pressure was noticeably weak . the gym equipment looked somewhat dated. the noise from adjacent rooms was occasionally disruptive to my sleep.

modern room free water fun pool special service
The room had many lights and mirrors. The complimentary water was a NICE touch. The swimming pool was fun. Alastair, the bar manager, which I appreciated.
I noticed some inexperience among the staff members.

stale smoke missing sofa
I booked a "double room sofa non-smoking", but the smell of stale smoke was overpowering. it seems the non-smoking policy is more of a suggestion than a rule. also, the promised sofa was suspiciously missing. a chair sat forlornly in its place, mocking my dreams of lounging. the hotel staff seemed unfazed by my complaint. I suspect i wasn't the first to mention it.

noise issue thin walls
the staff was friendly, which i appreciated.
My room (i had a double room) was very noisy, and i had trouble sleeping. i could hear a lot of noise from other rooms and the hallway. It was disruptive. soundproofing seems like an issue.
